Yuji Miyano
I am an engineer and artist working with electronics, 3D printing, and laser cutting.
Through these technologies, I create works that translate the relationships between technology and human perception into physical movement and interaction.
I work across the entire process—from planning and design to prototyping and implementation—developing devices and interactive content. Alongside creating exhibition works, I also engage in the design of workshops and hands-on experiential content.
After graduating from Nara National College of Technology, I transferred to Kyushu University’s Faculty of Design. Following my studies, I worked as a sales engineer at a heavy electrical equipment manufacturer before pursuing a Master’s degree at IAMAS (Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences).
After completing the program, I joined KAYAC Inc., where I worked as an engineer, technical director, and planner, contributing to the planning and production of interactive exhibitions and experiential content.
Since 2025, I have been working independently as a freelancer, creating works that give physical form to abstract concepts—such as thought, perception, time, and relationships—through movement and devices.
I am based in Aichi, Japan.
